Recently, there has been a rise in the use of artificial intelligence(AI) to create music. AI makes music by analyzing(分析) many different songs, learning patterns and details, and then mixing pieces together in creative ways. Some AI music has become so popular that it has been shared widely online.
However, some people think using AI to create music isn't truly original(原创的) or creative because it makes songs out of old music. What do you think? Is AI bad for creativity?
Yes—AI music isn't creative.
Using AI might be cheaper than paying a musician. If companies can use AI to produce popular music that makes lots of money from people buying and listening to it, it could put musicians out of work. If musicians can't earn money from music, there will be far fewer of them creating new songs. Anyway, listening to music that was made by a computer isn't the same experience as listening to human - made music. When musicians create songs, they put real feelings and experiences into their work, which builds a deep connection with listeners through their music. Music produced by AI isn't truly original, as it simply takes pieces from songs that have already been published. Therefore, it cannot be considered creative.
No—AI can help spark(激发) new ideas.
When people turn on their radios or headphones and a great new song comes on, it makes them feel good. A catchy tune(曲调) brings people together to sing and dance. If people are enjoying music, who cares whether it was made by a human or a machine? Music makers already use computers, which help to perfect sound and mix different parts of a song. Like computers, AI can also help spark ideas. It won't replace(取代) musicians but they can work with it. Building on music created by AI could save time. It could allow much more music to be produced and it could lead to new and special styles of music. AI could create exciting times that humans could never have dreamed of.
