I was tired. If my whole body ever did fall in, I'd never get out of the quicksand. It had been about five hours since Jess, my partner, left to ask for help. It was snowing heavily and it was getting 1.
A few hours later, I saw a beam of light. I prayed it was a plane, but it was the moonlight shining over the canyon(峡谷) walls. I was all wet and knew I was 2. I started to think about what I could do to end up faster. But I didn't want to be engulfed(吞没) by quicksand. That would be the 3 way to go.
