Donna Holmes is eighty years old. She took a family trip to Australia last summer. During the time, she learned to surf (冲浪) with the help of her granddaughter Brisa Hennessy.
The weather was really nice one day. Donna said, "It's a sunny day. Why not go surfing?" She knew Brisa was good at surfing, so she hoped Brisa could teach her.
Brisa recorded (记录) Donna's surfing and made a video. In the video, Donna was standing on a surfboard (冲浪板). Brisa asked Donna, "Grandma, why do you learn to surf?" "To try something new," she said. "But you are eighty years old." "Yeah. But remember that people can still learn something when they are old."
The video also showed how Donna caught a wave. It's not easy for an 80-year-old woman to do it, but Donna made it and had fun. Brisa felt really happy for her grandmother.
Brisa taught her grandmother how to surf, and learnt that one is never too old to learn.
