Jerry:Oh,Liu Tao. What are these?
Liu Tao:Oh,they are moon cakes. They are for the Mid - Autumn Festival.
Jerry:They look nice. But why do you call them moon cakes? Because they’re round? Why don’t you call them sun cakes? Sun is always round, but moon isn’t.
Liu Tao:Good question. The cakes are for the Mid - Autumn Festival. It’s the moon festival. We usually look at the moon and eat moon cakes on that day.
Jerry:Oh,I see. Any other special food for the festival? I like the rice dumplings we got at school months ago.
Liu Tao:But they are for the Dragon Boat Festival.
Jerry:Oh,sad to hear that. I can’t have the yummy rice dumplings.
Liu Tao:Come on! You can always get them in the supermarket. Don’t you know?
Jerry:Really? Great! I can’t wait to buy some. And I’d like to try some moon cakes too.
