The roads were muddy and narrow. Back then, people usually got around by bicycle or on
foot. If they needed to travel far, they had to take a long trip by coach. To make a living, most young
people had to go to big cities for more job chances. Now there have been many changes. The citizens in
my hometown have moved into modern new houses or flats. The roads are clean and wide. It's
convenient for us to get around by high-speed train. Today, many young people return to work in our
