CAI, pictures, headwear
Students’ preparation :
1. How many animals can you name? (P7 tip)
2. Please draw the pictures of the animal you know and write English on the back.
3. Do the net homework.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Free talk and warm-up
(1) Free talk
(2) Warm-up (Review the animals of last term)
   T: I have some pictures here, please look and answer my questions.
     What’s this/ that? What are these/ those? ( a chicken, ducks, pigs, a cow)
Step 2 Presentation
(1) teach: animal
   T: A chicken, ducks, pigs, and a cow, they’re animals.
(2) How many animals can you name?
  ① Watch and choose –Enjoy a cartoon.
     Q1: How many animals in the cartoon?  
  ② Answer: Who are they? (Sam, Bobby and a dog)
     T: Sam is a cat. Bobby is a mouse.
       Is the hot dog an animal? It’s a kind of dog. The dog is an animal.
     T: I like dogs. They’re lovely, they’re cute.

   ③ Brainstorm
     How many animals can you name?
     a. The student sayd the words of the animals he has known and paste the pictures on the blackboard. The teacher writes the words.
     b. Let the student be the teacher to teacher the other the students.
     c. Ask him: What do you think of them?
     d. Ask: Do you like …? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
     e. The teacher or a student asks the others: Do you like…?
        ④ Review the words of animals (Game)
⑤ Practice the dialogues.

Step 3 Story time
(1) Look and guess
   T: I know what animals you like. What about the children? They’re talking about the animals too. Look at the picture, please tell me who are they?
   T: Look at the picture carefully and guess, what animals do they like?
(2) Wacth and judge.
    According to the guessing, let’s watch the cartoon and judge ‘Yes or No’.
(3) Read and find.
   Does Mike like dogs? Where do you know? Why doesn’t Mike like dogs? What does Mike like? Why?

1. Listen and read the story, try to recite it (一起作业)
2. Act the story in groups
3. Preview Cartoon time.
