Luna is a 12-year-old student who loves making paper lanterns. Last month, her school held a “Traditional Handicraft Day” to encourage students to learn old crafts. Luna was very happy because she had learnt to make lanterns from her grandma.
On the day of the activity, Luna brought her tools: coloured paper, scissors and string. She showed her classmates how to fold the paper into a lantern shape and stick patterns on it. Her deskmate, Leo, had never made a lantern before—he kept asking Luna for help. Luna patiently taught him, and soon Leo finished his first lantern.
At the end of the day, the teacher hung all the students’ lanterns in the classroom. The lanterns looked beautiful with different colours and patterns. Leo said to Luna, “Thank you for teaching me! Making lanterns is so fun—I want to learn more traditional crafts.” Luna smiled, feeling proud that she could share her favourite craft with others.
