After school, Mum takes her to the library. The lady there asks Lisa to write down her name and then tells Lisa
how many books she can borrow.
The next day, Lisa needs to give three books back and wants to borrow three more. But she can't find her library card. The lady says she can't lend(借出) Lisa books without it. Lisa leaves, sad and worried(担忧的).
When Lisa gets home, Mum tells her a boy brings her library card—he finds it near the library. “
It must drop out of (掉落) one of the books I am carrying,” says Lisa. “You are lucky that the boy finds your card,” says Mum. “You need to be very careful.” Lisa says, “I think I will keep it in my schoolbag.” Mum says, “Let’s go to the library and get some books.”
While they are in the library, Mum tells Lisa the boy is sitting at the round table. Lisa goes over to him and says, “Thank you for finding my card.” He tells Lisa he is glad to help. They look for some interesting books together. Lisa has her books, her card, and a new friend too.
