My favourite painter is Xu Beihong, a great Chinese painter born in 1895. He was widely admired as a top a in the early 20th century.
Xu s a great love for painting at an early age. He practised a great deal and soon became an e in traditional Chinese painting. P he wanted to learn more, so he travelled overseas and studied art in Japan and France. Western art styles had a deep i on him.
He believed Chinese painting should keep developing instead of s the same. So he created new painting styles that present both Eastern and W skills. He loved painting animals, especially h and birds.
