五、(青岛李沧区期末)阅读短文,选择正确的答案。
One Saturday morning, my dad said to me, “Can you help me in the workshop(作坊) today?”
“Sure!” I said. I always wanted to help Dad in his workshop, but he never asked me to. I thought it was because I'm a girl. But today was different. He asked me for help!
First, my dad showed me his drawing, and then he cut some wood(木头). He told me to be careful and not to cut myself. I was a little afraid at first, but I did it slowly. Soon, all the small pieces of wood were ready. Then, we started to put the wood together. It was a chair! We glued the pieces and put them in place. Dad said we had to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry. I felt excited and a little worried. Would it be as good as I thought? Or would it not be so good?
The next day, we went to the workshop. “Go and have a try,” my dad said with a smile. I sat down on the chair. It didn't move. It was strong! I felt very happy. My dad put his hand on my head and said, “You're a good worker just like me.”
