China has just made a new high - speed train called CR450. It can go as fast as 453 km/h in tests, and it will run at 400 km/h in real use. It may be the fastest high - speed train in the world.
The CR450 is made by China State Railway Group. It works very well in many ways. It runs fast, saves energy, makes little noise and stops well. Even though it runs faster, its braking (刹车) system is just as good as the one on a train that goes 350 km/h. This is because of its great engineering, which keeps the train safe and steady.
One big development of the CR450 is that it uses less energy. The train is 10% lighter and meets 22% less resistance (阻力) when moving. These two things help save a lot of energy. The CR450 also makes your trip more comfortable. With advanced technology, the noise inside the train is lower—it is as quiet as that inside the slower trains. The inside of the train is redesigned to give 4% more space. There are luggage racks (行李架) that you can adjust, and special places to put bikes, wheelchairs and other items. This makes travelling easier for passengers.
