Mount Tai is in Shandong Province in eastern China. It is one of the greatest mountains in our country.
It is said that the Chinese god, Pangu, made the world. After he finished the job, he was so tired that he lay down, and died. His head became Mount Tai. His feet became Mount Hua. His arms became Mount Heng (衡山) in the south and Mount Heng (恒山) in the north. His stomach became Mount Song.
