B Read the guide about the dos and don'ts on public transport and complete it using enough, too and the correct structure with the words in brackets.
Billions of people around the world use public transport every day. With so many people getting on and off trains, buses and the underground, it's important to have good manners. Here are some dos and don'ts on public transport.
Dos
• Be (1)
patient enough to wait
(patient, wait) in line. Jumping the line upsets others, and it's not fair. Stand in line, let passengers get off first, and then get on.
• Be (2)
thoughtful enough to give
(thoughtful, give) up your seat when you see elderly, pregnant or injured passengers. Does someone look (3)
too tired to stand
(tired, stand)? Offer them your seat too!
• Clean up after yourself. Your seat should be tidy (4)
enough
for the next passenger. If everyone left rubbish behind, public transport would quickly become (5)
too
dirty.
Don'ts
• Don't block the doors on public transport. Leave (6)
enough
space for people to get on and off easily.
• Don't put your backpack on an empty seat when the train, the bus or the underground is crowded. Carry your backpack on your front or hold it by your side so you leave (7)
enough
room and won't knock into others.
• Don't eat foods with strong smells, such as durian and stinky tofu. Strong smells can bother other passengers. Many people may be (8)
too polite to say
(polite, say) anything about it, but they don't want to smell a strong smell!
