I was always worried about careless mistakes before. I thought they were just about“not being careful”. But over time, 16 We need to change how we work out problems.
I start by understanding that everyone makes mistakes. 17 Accepting this makes me feel less stressed and helps me get better. For example, once I made a mistake in a Maths test because I was in a rush. Knowing it was common to mess up(搞砸)sometimes made me less hard on myself.
Later, 18 I write down what I did wrong and organize my mistakes. This helps me learn from my mistakes. I even add little notes on how I can do better next time.
Next, 19 For Maths, there are steps like checking answers. For writing, I review the paper and do a grammar check. Each time I feel worried, I take a deep breath, rethink my way and slow down my thinking. This helps me catch mistakes before they happen.
What’s more, I celebrate my improvement, no matter how small. 20 Like when I got one more question right in a quiz than last time, I treated myself to a small piece of chocolate. It really makes me keep going and be more careful.
