Dear Diana,
Last Sunday, my friend David asked me to play a new computer game with him. We tried out the game on my dad's computer while he was out. After we finished
playing
, I checked the computer to see
if/whether
everything was OK. I found some documents were missing! Then, when my dad used the computer yesterday, he could no longer find the documents anywhere! He was really
worried
because they were very important.
I haven't told Dad about the computer game because I don't want him to be angry
with
me. He once told me something
would go
wrong if I played games on it.
I feel terrible now. Should I tell him all the things? Should I pay to repair it?
Steve
Dear Steve,
Oh, dear! You
made
two mistakes—You used your dad's computer to play games, and even
worse
, you did not tell him about it. If you tell him the truth now, he will be angry, but at least you are still
an
honest boy.
Say sorry to your father and offer
to give
up your pocket money to repair the computer. Next time, maybe play football with David
instead
of computer games!
Diana
