Peter Pan is one of the best - loved children's books. It was written by James Matthew Barrie. The book tells the story of Peter Pan, a little boy who never grows up and can fly, Wendy, John and Michael Darling, who live in London with their parents and their nurse, a dog called Nana. One night when Mr and Mrs Darling go out, Peter flies into the house through the window and meets Wendy. Peter teaches the Darling children to fly and takes them away to an island called Neverland. On Neverland they meet pirates, Indians and mermaids and have lots of adventures.
