Suzhou is my hometown and it's one of the biggest cities in Eastern China.
It lies in the south-east of Jiangsu Province. It has over 2,500 years of rich history. It is a famous
ancient capital, where people live by rivers with the bridges everywhere. So it's called "Venice of the
East" or "Venice of China". It's famous for the canals, stone bridges and beautiful scenery. It has also been an important centre for China's silk industry.
You can come here to visit Suzhou Museum and Taihu Lake. You can also enjoy Kunqu opera here.
Suzhou is a good place to go shopping. There are many big supermarkets and famous streets. Come
